HI,
I am an Australian National married to Swedish National who is looking for job and came to UK July 2017.
I already have a BRP for my tier5 visa, (also have full time employment since 2015)
I applied for the EEA FM, on 08/08/2017, Payment is taken 10/08/2017 but have no confirmation.
Does anyone applied with an existing BRP? do i need to re enroll my biometrics?
Will update when i receive any update from home office.
Thanks

Hi there,
I applied for a EEA2 (EFM) RC having a Tier 2 BPR. Did you send your BPR with your application? You will still need to enrol biometrics for the EEA FM. When does your Tier5 expire?
Although most of the people have the confirmation letter/email and CoA sent within four weeks after submission, it can take up to eight weeks to receive it.
Did you provide enough evidence that your spouse is a qualified person exercising treaty rights (registered in a job centre if qualified as jobseeker?).
I hope this helps.

Hello!
Yes, I did send my BRP with the application. expiring 30/11/2017
I have provided her nursing qualification translation and copies of her application for the jobs,
She got her NI from the job center, I don't think she registered as a job seeker with them, and she does not claim any benefits.
I have a full time job so I am supporting her until she finds a job.

Your employment is irrelevant to your EEA residence card application. It is all about your spouse being a qualified person exercising treaty rights.

According to the guidelines:
Evidence of seeking employment may include:
• job application forms
• letters of invitation to interviews
• rejection letters from employers
• Jobcentre Plus registration documents including the claimant commitment which outlines what jobseeking actions the claimant must carry out while receiving benefits (this alone is not sufficient)
• letters and emails written by the applicant to employers or employment agencies seeking work
It also states that "Simply registering as a job seeker with Job Centre Plus or another employment office is not in itself sufficient to meet the requirement to be seeking employment and have a genuine chance of being employed"
I guess if you sent her job applications you are covered.

Hi,
Yes I did, i also sent the details of the mentorship she is taking to better her chance for the job.
Do i have to send additional job applications she has made after the EEA application or just wait for home office to respond.
No acknowledgment from Home office yet.
Job centre has given her an appointment to register as a job seeker.
Will update:)
Thanks

I would recommend that you do it after your biometrics are taken just to be on the safe side.

After the e-mail acknowledgement received, you need to wait 6 to 10 weeks before starting to chase.

You usually need to provide your employer with the CoA showing your right to work.
