British Naturalisation

Post by Lululennon » Wed Sep 13, 2017 10:02 am

Hi, I will be applying for Naturalisation soon.
I took my Life in the UK test and got my ILR in March 2013.
Do I need to take the Life in the UK test again?
Thank you

No, but you will need to meet the English test requirement at level B1

You didn't state in your opening post that you did an English test. What test did you do and when did you do it?

However, as you got ILR before 28th October 2013, you will need to do a new test that is on the HO approved list.

Thank you for your help.
Just to reconfirm, I need to take the English test only but my LITUK is still valid.

I did an SELT test for my settlement visa and ilr. This was in 2012. I guess it has expired.

Are you sure it was an HO approved SELT or was it ESOL??

Yes you will need a more updated English test that is on the HO approved list OR a UK degree or UK NARIC ELA for an overseas degree.

You will see on the form AN that you do not have to redo the tests if your tests were used for ILR on or after 28 October 2013. You applied before that but not sure what visa route you got ILR through.

I got my ILR before 28 Oct 2013.
so probably my English test is no longer valid.
Does the LITUK test have an expiry date.
Thank you
