UK tier 2 dependent visa - Indian living in Germany

Post by nis2691 » Thu Sep 14, 2017 1:08 am

Hello all,

My husband has got a job in UK from A rated Sponsor (job 2119). We would be applying together for UK visa: my husband (Tier 2 general visa) and me (tier 2 dependent visa). We are Indian citizens. We are living in Germany: my husband has EU blue card (living since 2013) and I'm on a Family Reunion visa (since 4 months). Therefore, we are applying from Germany.

Queries:
1. Do I need to get "English language assessment" and "Education comparability" certifications from NARIC? (considering that I would like to work in UK)
2. We got married in May'2016 in India - visited Germany for 3 months(dec'17-feb'17) - finally living together since May'2017 in Germany.. What all marriage proofs are required in my case?
- Indian marriage certificate, marriage photos, Germany city registration with address, Germany landlord NoC
3. Do I need to show any Maintenance/Financial supports other than my Husband's Certificate of Sponsorship, as we are applying together?
4. As Germany is TB test free country but I've come here from India only 4 months back, I need to get TB test done. Germany doesn't have authorized clinics, can I get it done from any General Physician's clinic? Is the certificate from GP's clinic a valid proof?

Thanks :)

There is no English requirement for PBS dependents, regardless of whether you work in the UK or not.
2. We got married in May'2016 in India - visited Germany for 3 months(dec'17-feb'17) - finally living together since May'2017 in Germany.. What all marriage proofs are required in my case?

You don't need marriage photos. Rest should be fine plus maybe a few utility bills.
3. Do I need to show any Maintenance/Financial supports other than my Husband's Certificate of Sponsorship, as we are applying together?
If you apply together and the sponsor has certified maintenance for both of you then that should be fine.
4. As Germany is TB test free country but I've come here from India only 4 months back, I need to get TB test done. Germany doesn't have authorized clinics, can I get it done from any General Physician's clinic? Is the certificate from GP's clinic a valid proof?
Probably best to get it done.

Thank you for the response!

We don't have utility bills on my name, there are all on my husband's name.
Along with the city registration, would the Insurance document on my name as a dependent of my husband suffice? (Both city registration and insurance document have my name, address and date of my arrival in Germany)

Thank you once again :)

Also, do I need to get the travel insurance done for UK?

No. Why would you need travel insurance if you are moving here? The IHS fees you pay covers you for NHS use.

Actually, for the Germany visa I had to get the travel insurance done..so I just wanted to make sure it's not the case here.
Yes, I know about the NHS fees. Thank you! :)

Hello all,

I have another question related to my earlier post.

When filling the Main Applicant's Visa application, do we need to fill the "Points Claimed" section under the "Tier 2 Skilled Worker" Tab? Or is it filled by the Visa authorities as it is not a mandatory field?

Thanks!

Hi All,

I need another advice. My husband has sent his documents for NARIC certification by normal route. Can we change that to fast-track route? Is it worth paying for fast track services? Has anyone had similar experience or faced delays?

Thank you!

Suggest contact NARIC to find out if it is possible.

Thanks CR001!

But, is the fast track service worth paying for? The normal service is mentioned to take 8-10 days. Does it take longer than this?

I don't have experience of NARIC as I am from an English speaking country and also never had to prove my English.

Suggest contact NARIC, there are not usually delays.

Hello All,

After 6 working days of submitting documents & making the payment, we have got a message on the status "Incomplete Application" from NARIC saying:

"Dear Sir / Madam,
In order to proceed with your application, please provide the following:
A copy of the final diploma / certificate in the original language.
AND
A copy of the transcript / mark sheets in the original language.
Kind regards
UK NARIC"

I am confused now!
We have already uploaded the scanned copy of original Degree and Transcript received from TU Darmstadt, Germany. As this course is imparted in English, these documents are also in English. We have also uploaded the certificate from the college stating that the medium of instruction was English.

Has anyone faced the same issue? What more should we provide/upload with the application?

I have got my answer on calling the UK NARIC support center (after my 6th try). Apparently, they just wanted to be sure if my husband has received anything in German or it was all in English. When I confirm the same, they finally changed the status to "Checking".

Hello,

I have a query related to English Translation.

My husband has his Work Permit and earlier visa (study) in German on his passport. I have my Visit visa and Family reunion visa in German.

Do we need to translate these as well? I couldn't find any specific information about this.

Thanks!

All documents that are not in English must be officially translated.

Is there a requirement to submit your German visas???

We do give information about our travel history, work permit and visas (visit visa), hence I'm asking if they need to be translated?

I asked, is there a requirement in the rules for Tier 2 general or does the form ask you, to submit your Germany visas?

Giving information about travel dates is not the same as submitting evidence of every visa (which is not required).

As we are applying from Germany, I believe we have to show the proof of residence in Germany. For that we have our residence permits (Resident Card) in German. Do we need to translate them as well?
