English language requirement for a spouse visa extention

Post by III » Wed Sep 13, 2017 8:40 pm

Hi everybody,

This is urgent!!!

I am applying for my spouse visa extention and I have got the English language test certificate (A2 level).
First time applying for my visa I submitted my diploma but was refused on the basis 'Diploma is recognised by NARIC UK to be equivalent to the standard of a Bachelor's or Master's degree or PhD in the UK, which was taught in English, I therefore refuse your visa...' Is only the test certificate enough or do I need to submit my diploma to be approved by NARIC as well? Because this time in the document I have to submit the letter from NARIC comes again!!! I am confused... Please, help!!!

the question is related to meeting the English language requirement. Tick no for 8.3 if you are using your A2 test and tick yes for 8.4

Ppl, this is urgent.

I want to explain the picture more clearly.

In 2014 I applied for my spouse visa. The Master's degree that was taught in English was equivalent to NARIC UK requirements, but as i didn't submit for NARIC's approval, and didn't sit an English test I was refused to get my visa. I then passed my test, reapplied and got my visa.
Now I am applying for my Spouse visa extention, I have passed A2 level test. In my application I mention that I have a degree taught in English, and I mention that it doe not correspond to NARIC's standards, in the docs to provide they want a letter from NARIC!!!

What to do? Not to mention my degree? But they ask if I have been ever refused to get a visa i have to tell them about my previous refusal of visa which was based on my diploma degree.

  :?

It would be helpful if you stated if you were using online or paper form as they are different and we dont have access to the online forms. I am looking at the paper form.

Yes if you are using a trst. No if you are not using your degree to meet the english requirement. If you tick for the degree you need to do NARIC.

Kindly refrain from posting topics in the Settling In Sub Forum at the top of the main forum page (click) and keep all your questions in this topic you already have in the Immigration for Family sub forum.

That does not have to be completed.

Your child must be mentioned in the form and only birth cert needs to be submitted.

Re: Docs for spouse visa extension

Hi dear experts,

Just need to confirm my doubts are in vain.

I am inside the UK and I am applying online for extension of my spouse visa. I am not sending the FLR (M) form, am I right?
On the website it says 'Use this online application as an alternative to the FLR(M) and FLR(FP) paper forms.'

I have another question. My husband has got kids (British citizens) in his previous marriage and he has got no contacts with them. It is asking if he has got other kids that are not applying on this application, and asking for papers about kids.
What should I do?

Please help.

And when to pay for the healthcare surcharge, before I pay for the application?

My head is spinning... after all this paperwork and being scared if I forgot this or that...

Health surcharge is part of the online application process. You must pay £500 and get a reference number.

Do I need to print the online application or not? In the list of need docs they don't ask for it. At the end of the online process it should tell you what to do if you are applying by post or in person.
Do I need the FLR (M) form or not? In the list of needed docs they don't ask for it. FLR(M) is what you are applying for, just the online form
Do I need to copy all my passport if I am applying for the visa or not? You have to send original passport, also depends how you are applying,by post or in person.
Do I need to submit baby's photo if he is not applying? Not if the child is NOT applying with you.

Please, is anyone reading my posts? Can i get help pls?
You should note, as I have already stated previously, is that not many members will be familiar with the online form and when you ask for help, we don't have access to the online form and what you are seeing, we look at the paper form.
