How old is your child and are both you and your spouse working at least 16 hours a week each?

Hi i am looking for child benifit but no where it was not clear wether a tier 2 migrant can apply for child benifit or not with out affection visa extension amd PR application

As neither of you have settled status (ILR or PR), you are not entitled to claim Child Benefit.

Child benefit is public funds. You are not permitted to claim as you do not hold ILR and yes, if you do claim, it can affect your visa/ILR.

I am not sure if you are asking about the £20 per week child benefit or free child care. You need to state clearly what you are asking about.
