Setllemnet spouse Visa

Post by skumar1 » Tue Sep 19, 2017 2:43 pm

Hi,

I am a naturalised British citizen got married to a srilankan citizen Last June.
She passed her IELTS-A1 English test and got her TB certificate.
I was told by some one at VFS colombo that I need to send documents to sheffield.

Same time I dont know what application my wife should submit at srilanka?

I am confused about the whole process to secure a Settlement visa for my wife.

Please guide me how to move further.

Thanks in advance.
Kumar

Thanks for your reply.

I looked at VAFA4 but not sure where to send that document.
Sorry still confused if my wife need to apply online than go VFS Srilanaka office.

It would be great if someone can explain the process in details.

Thanks for your patience.

regards

The online process of the application form will tell you what you need to do.

Appreciate your response.

My wife is not in UK and due financial reason she can not apply from her home country.

I am thinking of applying for her from UK.
Is there any pros or cons of it ?

What do you mean 'apply for her from UK'?

She still has to submit her documents and enroll her biometrics?

What is her home country?? Is she applying from her home country or is she somewhere else?

You can complete the online form, but she still has to sign the application herself and submit a copy and her passport etc in Sri Lanka and enrol her fingerprints and digital photo at the VFS offices.

You cannot apply for the visa from the UK for her unfortunately.
