Baby born after spouse visa issued with 30days Validity!!

Post by gannicus91 » Tue Sep 19, 2017 4:47 pm

Friends,

I have this horrible feeling considering the fact that UKVI taking forever to make decisions on settlement spouse visa applications (see my timeline under thread "Spouse Visa Timeline - Pakistan Only"); i MIGHT run into this situation where my partner receives decision on her pretty straight forward application AFTER giving birth. Should that unfortunate happen; what would be the quickest way to get a baby's visa "within 30days" (either right of abode certificate or perhaps British passport as am a British citizen by Naturalization) so that baby can travel along with her mother as you may all already know spouse visa is only valid for 30days OR can the infant simply travel along with the mother within the period of the spouse visa validity with babys birth certificate+travel document?.

I have exhausted all my efforts towards the home office and yet to receive a decision. It's been 5 months already since the application was lodged, 6 months completing on 26th Oct and my partners due date is in early December. I know some airlines are very reluctant to take heavily pregnant women on board so that's another issue that am facing already; i won't also expect my wife to leave a newly born baby behind to travel to UK only to collect her Biometric card and travel back; also mothers post-birth conditions itself is a matter of concern.. Feeling really frustrated and losing my mind here; not sure what else can i do to shake up the home office.. I am really hoping they make a decision within 6months... not sure what they are doing and why; part of me thinking they just holding applications where applicant is pregnant to reduce workload from the NHS regardless of any other factors; but again thought comes in mind if thats the case why IHS is in place.. am going crazy here.. Not sure if HO have well thought this process and deliberately making their own citizens lives miserable.... anyway, has anyone faced that situation?

Any legitimate, non-judgmental and helpful suggestion would be highly appreciated.

Child would need either ROA/COE or a visa to travel or even just to board the plane. No 'quick shortcut' route unfortunately. RoA can take a few weeks. British passport from overseas can take 6-12 months.
part of me thinking they just holding applications where applicant is pregnant to reduce workload from the NHS regardless of any other factors;
Nonsense. That would be discrimination.

that's a level of frustration talking from my end mate.. Thanks though.. i know it could either be ROA/COE but am not really sure if 30days are enough to get both baby's passport and ROA/COE sorted....
