PBS Dependant extension after partner received ILR

Dear all,

i am PBS Dependant (Tier 2) for 2,5 years;
my partner will apply to ILR this December 2017 (5 years on Tier 2);
my PBS Dependant visa expires in Jan 2019 (I will still need 1 year 2 month to have 5 years on PBS visa);
I would like to change my surname next year and update my visa accordingly

Question: will I be able to apply for extension of my PBS visa after my partner received ILR? if not - can I apply before his ILR application now (but my visa is still valid for >year)?

Note: before applying for PBS Dependent I was on Tier 2 Inter company transfer for 1,5 years without any gaps.

Yes you can extend, it will be a 3 year extension. No you cannot apply before he gets ILR.
