Biometric enrolment letter not received?

Hi guys, just wanted to first of all say I received my sons registration certificate last week. I am super happy.
The problem I am facing now tho is that I read on the gov.co.uk website that biometric details has to be returned after the applicant received his/her certificate of British national.
My son went to a post office to do his biometrics, he only got the letter and the receipt from council, up till now I still haven't received the bimetric info, will I get find £1000 as they say? Or should I contact home office?

Btw my son is 17, I registered him for brisih citizenship using MN1 appl station form.

If he does not have a BRP card (biometric residence permit) and his ILE is in his passport as a sticker, then there is nothing you have to return.
