Which application to use?

Hi i am coming to an end of my current leave, i was granted discretionary leave after overstaying, i was granted on the basis of private life spending more than half life in the uk with no ties back home.

my question is should i extend using the same basis or should i apply on the basis i now have a one year old British child, also i am currently with the other parent just didnt want to include them if i didnt have to. id appreciate any advice also looking to do premium service if possible, seen a few timelines on here and wouldnt mind avoiding the ridiculous wait.
