ILR for dependant who was in TIER 1G

Post by satheesh1985 » Tue Sep 26, 2017 12:55 pm

Hi

I am currently in Tier 1G and eligible to apply for ILR in Jan 2017.

My wife was in Tier 1G from Jan 2013-Jan 2016 for 3 years and shifted to Tier 1G dependant (current visa Jan 2016-2019).

SO can she apply for ILR in Jan 2018 or she has to wait until Jan 2021?

Thanks in Advance!!!

Do you mean 2018??

No she cannot. She requires 5 years residence as a PBS dependent before she can apply for ILR. She will only qualify in 2021.

You state she was on her own Tier 1 General and then switched to Tier 1 General dependent visa. It is not possible to combine the two categories to make up 5 years for ILR. She needs either 5 years as PBS main visa holder or 5 years as PBS dependent.
