Address for UK Immigration and Visas when applying within UK

Post by kingzaman » Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:54 am

Hi,

I am applying for a PBS dependant visa for my child born in UK a month ago.

I have applied for maintenance letter from my company who in turn have asked me the name of the organisation and their address and post code.

I have filled the application partly and haven't submitted as I am still waiting for my babys passport.

Can someone let me know what address to put when applying within UK.

Thanks
Ali

It simply needs to be addressed to :

UK Visas and Immigration
To Whom It May Concern

The online process will tell you at the end where to send documents.

Yes. I have told them but they are after the address as they can't issue it to whomsoever it may concern.

The problem is I can only get the address on the website once I submit the application which I can't until my daughter's passport comes. I have tried researching online but to no avail.

Anyone else has any idea about the address ?

Thanks

Document checklist for PBS dependent

Post by kingzaman » Fri Sep 29, 2017 10:08 am

Hi,

I have got a baby girl born in UK and I am in the process of applying for her visa. I am on a Tier 2 General visa

Firstly, based on the replies above I think I can select 'I am applicant' on behalf of my child ?

Secondly where it is asking me for BRP and NI I presume I can leave that blank ?

Thirdly, I have an A-rated sponsor and I have got a maintenance letter do I need to submit my bank statements then ?

Fourth. With regards to the overall document checklist. Do I need to send my BRP card as well ? I am planning to send Baby's birth certificate, passport, photographs and maintenance letter. Do I need to send anything else ?

Fifth. Request if the person who initiated this post can confirm how many days it took him to get visa as I need to travel in around 7 weeks time but don't want to go for priority as its expensive.

Many thanks in advance.

The child is the applicant NOT you.
Secondly where it is asking me for BRP and NI I presume I can leave that blank ?
Clearly as your child doesn't have these.
Thirdly, I have an A-rated sponsor and I have got a maintenance letter do I need to submit my bank statements then ?

Should be fine.

I split your post and merged it with your topic. It is considered rude to tag onto other members topics with questions when you already have your own topic. If you don't want to pay the extra, then it will take 8 weeks, sometimes sooner sometimes longer. You do not get the BRP card with the approval letter, the BRP cards comes a few days later (7-10 days) by DX courier.

Fourth: No need to send your own BRP. Send copies of your and your partner visa with the application

The visa in our passport was only valid for one month or so as we had applied from outside the UK and then got a BRP on getting into UK. Only my BRP card states my correct visa period. So I guess I shall send a copy of my BRP ? The COS has the visa period details so I guess no need to send BRP ?

Noted. Will stick to this one.

Do you mean to say that it will take around either side of 8 weeks for the approval and then a further one week to ten days for BRP card of my new born to arrive ?

Hi

I am on the verge of applying for visa and just checked a few forums and it seems it is not necessary to send new born baby passport for visa ? is that correct ? I am asking because I am still waiting for my baby's passport and just contemplating if its possible to apply without the passport.

Also, just wanted to check something for my own knowledge. Based on reading through different forums it seems you are not required to apply for visa if you are not intending to travel outside UK ? Is that correct. So lets say if I wouldn't be travelling outside UK and still have 3 and a half years for ILR would it be fine if I hadn't applied for visa or will it have any repercussions for my baby ?

Thanks
