NCS JCAP Passport for a child

Post by sams4u29 » Fri Sep 29, 2017 1:57 pm

Hi Gurus,

I have recently(2 weeks ago) applied for MN1 & British passport for a child.
I can see that the general timeline is around between 3-6 months.

However, I have received a message on my mobile from HMPO that my child's passport will arrive in the next 3 weeks (which is good) but, I was unsure whether if they are giving me a general timeline for a passport application where the naturalisation is not yet done for the child.

Please suggest if this is a common general message issued by HMPO for all applications or is it really going to be happen.

Anyone in the group received this kind of Message from HMPO before?

It is a standard message. You will only get the passport once the citizenship is approved.

p.s. children are registered as British not naturalised as British.

Thanks CR001 for the prompt reply.

Is there a way we can request to speed up the MN1 application for the child? by email/phone to Home office with case reference number?
I am in need to get the Child's(4 months old) first passport(not registered with any Embassy/Home office before) for travel in the next 2 months.

Has anyone got the MN1 & passport in 2 months according to the recent posts made? - I have searched through the timelines posts but not seen anyone getting it in 2 months.

No, there is no way to 'speed it up'.
