Is it not going to be problem because on my BRP card it is middle name and in new updated foriegn passport, middle name is not. You already know about my situation so if you can please give me advice i would highly very much appreciate cr001
Please elaborate that. Thats why i dont get it properly, im really worried. Because in my brp permanent card its with middlename and on new passport which i got recent its only first name and surname. Should i write cover letter for them when sending the naturalisation form??
Thanks. You said citizenship are given as passport name, but my worry is that i have first name, middlename and surname on BRP card but on my new passport i have only first name and surname
Can you give hint please what can be evidence for example? And by the way i never had middle name it was issued wrong on my BRP card and when i reported the error they said it is what is in your passport, in my old passport (AA son of BB CC) abd BB never meant to be my middlename but in the BRP it appears as my middlename so that is why i applied to renew my original passport because of this and it will appear as (AA CC) first name and surname. Can you please advice a bit in detail on this please i will highly appreciate that because im due to apply for naturalisation.
Hi thank you. Because i'm very worried. Someone said i had to update the name on brp first before apply for naturalisation. But i'm eligible to apply for naturalisation now as eu law it says in the letter my 6 years already completed and i can apply for naturalisation now, but at thr same time the names on my updated passport and brp is different. Or what if i apply for naturalisation and explain them in letter all the situation and sumbiy old passport and new passportCR001 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 12, 2017 3:34 pmHas the thought crossed your mind that maybe no one really has a definitive answer??
You were given exentive advice in your many other topics.
Citizenship will be granted in the name on your passport. You will have to likely provide evidence to HO on the name change.

Thank you for the reply, could you please elaborate a bit for example what the evidences may be if they ask, also is it good move to apply for citizenship ? Because on an application i just read it says that name must be same as what is in your ho official documents which is AA BB CC. Now in my updated passport its AA CC.CR001 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 14, 2017 11:31 amCR001 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 12, 2017 3:34 pmHas the thought crossed your mind that maybe no one really has a definitive answer??

Thank you once again, i’m really concerned about this that’s why. Basically on my old foreign passport my name wtitten as AA son of BB CC i got that passport when i was 15. Now my name should have been written on BRP as AA CC which first name and surname but they put my father name BB as middlename which i do not have. As soon i got my brp i contacted the brp error but they said there nothing they cant change it because its in the HO record. Basically it’s their mistake.
