EEA PR holder can apply for British Citizenship if...

Hi,

My EEA PR is under procees in home office. (non-EU citizen).
My spouse (EEA citizen) is EEA PR holder since last one year. I know my spouse is eligible to apply for British Citizenship (Neutralisation).

My question is, can we both apply for British Citizenship (neutralisation) together right away once I get EEA PR. (Since there is rule, spouse of British citizen can appply for Citizenship right away without waiting for 1 year after PR. - however in my case my spouse is not British citizen but applying for British citizenship.

Please advice.

You both have to apply separately (there is no couples or family application), if you comply with all requirements, including wait time. You could of course wait til your spouse has acquired citizenship.

Married or civil partnerships couple can apply together.

Is this something new service they are offering that we are not aware of?

You can apply together but you must each meet the requirements individually, including holding PR for 12 months.
