Am I exempt from Resident Labour Market Test with Tier 4 history?

Post by Andrew000001 » Sun Oct 01, 2017 1:17 pm

Hi all, I am currently on a Tier 5 Youth Mobility Scheme visa. I just arrived in the UK and I am planning to find a permanent job here. I studied in the UK on a number of Tier 4 visas for 7 years. I was away from the UK for the past two years to work abroad and travel. If I want to switch from Tier 5 to Tier 2 (I understand that I need to go back to my home country to apply), am I exempt from the labour test given that I have Tier 4 history?

The visa issue is stressing me out, I would really appreciate your advice!

My understanding is that you would only be exempt if you were switching from Tier 4 to Tier 2 within the UK on completion of your studies.

Wait for others to offer a reply to though.
