if u don't mind me asking what kind of explanation letter did you give?

Also, did you not provide any cohabitation documents to prove that you were with spouse and still living together?

Also, did you apply 28 days before visa expiry or 28 days before completing 6 years DLR.

the child benefit letter is from April 2017 just one sheet and tax credit letter (4 sheets) was from March 2017...tenancy agreement was couple of years old...

He used Set(O) as I believe his was non asylum. When filling in Set(O) you would normally tick the other (I think it's the last option) in the category.

To be honest those granted DLR and especially those from before 9 July 2012 based of private life or family life, is a straightforward application as you don't have financial requirements or language requirements. They would also have recourse to public funds unless they have the NRPF condition attached on their brp card or documents.

Again as yours is based off failed asylum I really think you should get in touch with an immigration advisor to get proper advice in regards to your question.

As my friend advices me I should contact to any Legal Adviser. As I was granted before July 2012 under old policy of 6 years.
This the reply I got from Lawyer see below
Our Discretionary Leave to Remain clients have indeed applied for Indefinite Leave to Remain and all received approval on the same-day with the Premium Service. Please see below the current Home Office policy:

You also can’t use the premium or super premium service if you’re applying for discretionary leave to remain or humanitarian protection unless:
you’re applying under the transitional arrangements to extend your discretionary leave after 3 years
you’re applying to settle in the UK after 6 years discretionary leave

I am not sure what to say but what i have read on forums is that if the case is not straight forward then better to post your application rather peo appointment plus if there is any kind of asylum involved then you cant book peo appointment. Solid explanation is required in complex cases which is not easy to write . Solicitors will write in proper law language that includes examples of similar cases which can be helpful in cases like human rights / asylum etc. Please correct me if i am wrong.

Hi there did u do the life in the uk test or English test. My appointment is on Thursday in sha allah they will grant mine same day too. I have also been granted 6 years Dl since 2011 and haven’t done life in the uk test as it’s expempted in this category I have done b1 test. How long did u received your biometric after appointment and decision was same day

Life in the UK was not necessary but i had it with me , i did not submit that in my application, i received my brp in 3 working days

My advice is, PSC should only be used with SET(O) form if your case is not complicated, otherwise you are just wasting money.

Some people have been successful and some have not, Again, I believe and my understanding is, using the correct form for the type of DLR that was granted to you (failed asylum) FLR (DL) is important.

Again, this all comes down to the case worker and what their understanding and guidance on this matter is, it is also my understanding that DL is granted outside of the immigration rules and therefore they can accept or disregard at their discretion.

My understanding is, you would use this form: Form FLR(DL)
