Using a schengen after spouse enters the UK

Hello,

I'm delighted to say that my Russian wife has just received her spouse visa to join me in the UK, after nearly a year apart. Thank you to everyone who gave us advice and support along the way.
We have one question: she is thinking of applying for a Schengen (for Europe travel) in the next week or so, before she moves to the UK. This is because she heard that she can't apply for a Schengen until she's been in the UK for 3 months. Does anyone know if there are limits on her leaving the UK during the first 3 months (if she already has the Schengen), once she has arrived on the spouse visa, and collected the biometric thing?

There is no limit on her leaving the UK.

I also understand that she can apply for a Schengen visa once she has her BRP card as she has to prove she will return and has a visa valid for 6 months or more.
