Photocopies of SET(M) supporting documents

Post by jj12acj » Thu Oct 05, 2017 10:01 am

Hi all,

I have 5 years worth of supporting documents to apply for set(M). I noticed that I am supposed to photocopy my documents. I am attending the same day service not postal. Do I really need to photocopy absolutely everything? I did not photocopy anything when I did my FLR(M) renewal 2.5 years ago as it wasn't a requirement/recommended thing to do. And if photocopied, do I need to get a solicitor to verify my documents as well? Thank you in advance.

You don't need 5 years worth of supporting documents.

Hi CR001,

Thank you again for your prompt reply. Hope you are having a good day. Will 2.5 years of supporting documents be sufficient from the date my leave was last granted? So sorry for taking your time.

You don't need 5 years worth of supporting documents.
The latest SET(M) form 06/17 has this in:

"The dates of the items of correspondence should be spread evenly over the whole period you are relying on."

The options above in the form are for 5 year routes etc - so this makes me think "you are relying on" 5 years... CR001 - where does it say it is 2.5 years only if you wouldn't mind sharing?
