Hi!
I currently have a Tier 4 visa and I am going to graduating as a Social Worker. I know that Children and Families Social Worker is currently on the UK shortage occupation list. I have a few questions about meeting the requirements for a shortage occupation Tier 2 visa.
1. Does the job title specifically have to say "children and families social worker" even if it is a social worker job in a children and families department? Sometimes the jobs are titled "Family Worker" and things like that.
2. Does the job have to be in the UK government such as the council/NHS/etc... or can it be a third sector organisation that hires social workers?
3. Does a Tier 2 shortage occupation employer have to be on the list of sponsors for Tier 2 general visas?
Thank you!
