Priority Settlement Visa - Pakistan

Post by Shaziaramis » Sat Oct 07, 2017 10:39 am

Hi Guys.

I just wanted to find out about other people who have applied using the priority visa for their husbands or wives in Pakistan.

My question is, if the payment for the priority service was made in Pakistan, does your solicitor need to attach any sort of indication or receipt to show that it's a priority case or would immigration automatically know that it's a priority case when they're working on it.

My solicitor tried to pay for the priority fee here but it declined a few times so he told my husband to pay it when he was called in for his passport and biometric submission..

My solicitor didn't attach anything with my documents to show whether it's a priority case or not & it's been over 40 working days now.

I am quite worried as to if UKVI have even put my application in the right processing department. I have wrote my timeline below.

Would appreciate if anyone could help me out a little.

Priority Settlement visa

Online Application submitted : 1st August 2017

biometrics enrolled & Passport submission : 9th August - Islamabad, paid for priority service too on this day.

Supporting documents sent to Sheffield on : 15th August 2017

Supporting documents received back from Sheffield on : 18th September 2017

Have had no correspondence from UKVI what so ever, no
Emails no phone calls to me or my Husband & neither employer contacted so far, I've been emailing and all I get back is generic information which makes all the wait really frustrating especially when you've paid so much extra for the priority service & ontop of all this it's stressful enough being separated from your husband.

Phone call made to UKVI 26th September and was told that with priority service the decision should be made by 30th working day and if not made by 27th September I have to call in to escalate case.

Escalated application : 6th October 2017 and have been asked to wait another 20 working days for them to find out why the decision has not been made.

Your timeline is similar to mine and I also paid priority fee at karachi VAC, we did send priority receipt with the documents and marked our package as priority along with application ref number. As per staff at VAC (who i know personally) we are not required to send priority receipt as it is updated in system but we did it anyways because this has been suggested many times on this forum.

If you see the Pakistan timeline you would see that 2 people have got their visas in 48 business days which is pretty good considering the delays people have had in last 1 year.

Do check this thread where people have been waiting since November 16. I personally believe it don't matter much if it's taking a little longer as long as you get the visa and not refused for a stupid reason.

I would be a happy person if we get our visa in 60 business days considering the horror stories people are going through.

Good luck.
Biometrics Karachi 04/08/17
Decision received 11/10 (Visa refused on subsisting relationship)
Acknowledgment 18/12/17
Deadline 02/04/18
Decision withdrawn 26/02/18
Decision overturned 29/03/18
PP submitted 3/4/18
Visa granted 9/4/18

Kindly continue in the topic link that user 'metanioa' has provided to avoid this topic becoming yet another long running 'still waiting' one.
