When can I claim ILR

Post by Gim185 » Sun Oct 08, 2017 8:29 pm

Hi all,
Hope you all well. May I take this opportunity to say thanks to all in advance.

I came to the UK in 2008 as student dependent. Continued my residency until 2012. In 2012 I left UK even though had visa until 2014. During my stay at India, my wife changed her status from student to PSW. In 2013 she came to India and I applied along with my kid as her PSW dependent. In 2015, she received ILR (10 year route). I am his dependent. When can my child and I apply for ILR?

Your valuable advise is highly appreciated.
Kind regards
Ghulam

You need to switch to FLR(M) (if not done already),which will reset your clock to zero and a new 5 year residence period (2 x 2.5 year visas). Your child will follow the same path as you.

You don't qualify for ILR based on long residence.
