Multiple COS

Post by Pepe07 » Mon Oct 09, 2017 12:36 am

Hi. I interviewed two companies and got job offers from both. The job that was found by human resorces company lost no time and emailed the COS in August. The one I actually found very suitable for my skills was on holiday for 2 months and has not prepared the COS yet. But I have doubts about the first job with the already issued COS. They want me to start at an advanced level and I am not very sure if I can handle it. I have decided to take up the second offer. The second company said they are waiting to get a permission from home office. My question is:
I phoned home office and the advisor said it is fine if I haven't already applied for tier 2 visa using the number of that COS from the first company. Also, home office advisor told me to inform the first company to cancel their COS. Where can I find information about this issue? I don't want to cancel the first COS until I secure the COS from the other company. When exactly and how should I cancel the COS?

You cant have two CoS assigned to you at the same time. The first CoS needs to be cancelled first.

Thank you very much fır the reply. Is it ok if I cancel the first one after I get the second one?

The company needs to cancel the CoS, not you. My understanding is that a second CoS cannot be assigned to you if you already have an active CoS assigned to you.
