Gap between expiry of old Tier 2 visa and start of new job

Hi Manci,
I have a similar questions. My current employment ends on 15th November and my Visa expire on 30th November 2017. I am postdoctoral fellow so it is PhD based job.

I am in process of a new job but not sure they will be able to start the job start on 16th November. So my question is if I start on 1st December is it gap in my employment and will it affect my ILR application in future. I saw the UKSB website,, which says below on page 60 of link below. Can you please suggest me that I can request the current employer and future employer to accelerate the process without breaking any rules.

You must have been employed in the United Kingdom continuously, in the role you were granted leave to do.

Is there any salary requirement, I am told that it should be 32500 during the ILR application?
Can you please suggest me a good links (documents), where I can get my all answers related to future job as well as ILR.

1st December will be fine provided you have your new visa.
