EILT vs Statement of Comparability

Post by debooy2 » Wed Oct 11, 2017 10:32 pm

Hi everyone,

I need clarification on this matter.

My partner is a lawyer and she obtained her qualification in Nigeria. All tgought in English language.

I am about to apply for Statement of Comparability for visa and nationality purpose with NARIC UK.

If NARIC comes back and says her qualification is equal to a degree in UK, woud she still need to do an Engkish Language proficiency test?

Basically is Statement of Comparability a substitute for EILT test?

Secondly, I am still confused as to where to send the application to in the UK. She lives in Nigeria, how would the Home Office link the application if she sends her docs from Nigeria and mine from here.

I am looking at sending the application together from the UK. If that's allowed?

Thanks you.

If she manage to get statement of comparability from NARIC then no other English proficiency test need. But you should bear in mind that the fee is almost same in either way.
Regarding visa application for Nigerian partner see below the link:

The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.
