Entry Refusal

Please kindly help. My mother Was refused entry to the UK. She arrived on Sunday the 15th of October 2017 through Gatwick airport . She was returned back to Nigeria on Thursday 19th October.

She is an elderly lady who visit here to spend time with me and her grandchildren.She has never overstayed .

Reason for refusal she’s visit frequently because she’s on a visitor visa of two and half years. The immigration said they are going to cancel her visit and she reapply after six months. I don’t know if she was banned though it was not stated in the documents that was issued to her.

What is her travel history and dates of entry and departure to the UK in the last couple of years then?

How long has she stayed each time?

Her most recent visit are thus; she arrived UK on the 8th of August 2016 and left 02 February 2017, staying 179 days and a further visit on 12 March 2017 and leaving 28th August 2017 staying 150 days .

Her last was on 15th October 2017 which she was refused entry .

She shouldn't be spending more time in the UK than she is spending in her home country within a 12 month rolling period (not a calendar year).

It appears from your post that she exceeded that by 129 days and even more if the 20 days from 8th - 28th August are counted.

In addition to my comments above, there was only a gap of less than 2 months before she attempted to visit again. This will be considered as an attempt to reside in the UK on a visitor visa.
