My daughter who is 3 is a UK citizen.
Me and my wife both have Indefinite Leave to Remain.
We are planning to travel to Spain in December and I am wondering if me and my wife needs to apply for the visa and if we do is it the normal Schengen visa.
My confusing arises from the point on the BLS website

Our resident cards DO NOT say that we are a family member of an EU national. So, we have to apply visa but I believe we DO NOT have to pay the fees."Under Directive 2004/38/EC and according to Real Decreto 240/2007, 16 February, family members of an EU/EEA national in possession of a valid UK Residence Card specifying its condition as a family member do not require a visa to enter Spain when travelling with the EU/EEA National or joining him/her in Spain. I emailed BLS and the reply I received was
