ILR application date

Hi,

I am on a Tier 2 General Visa. I was granted the Tier 2 Gen visa first on 01-Feb-2013 and I arrived in the UK for the new job on 17-Feb-2013. Earlier this year I had a change of employer and I obtained a new Tier 2 Gen visa well within 60 days of termination of the previous job (40 days) though I joined the new company 77 days after termination of my previous job.

I have 2 questions based on the information I have provided above:
1) As per my understanding I should not have any problem in ILR application even if the gap between termination of previous job and joining of new job is 77 days. Is my understanding correct ?
2) When is the earliest date that I can apply for the ILR ? 28 days from the 01-Feb-2013 (date when Tier 2 Gen was first granted as mentioned in the visa stamp) or 17-Feb-2013 (date on which I first arrived in UK on Tier 2 Gen visa) ?

Correct. The calculation is counted from last date of employment to date of new application submission.

Within 28 days of 1st February 2018.

Out of curiosity: Is there no limit on the number of days gap between the date when the visa is first granted and the date when the visa holder first arrives in the UK for the 28 days to be counted from the date when visa was granted+5y ? For example if the visa holder first arrives in the UK 3 months after the date of visa grant, then can (s)he still apply for ILR 28 days before completion of 5 yr from date of visa grant ?
