Tier 2 ICT Dependent Child switch to Tier2 General Depenedent

Post by sreddy111 » Sat Oct 28, 2017 7:46 pm

Hi All,

I am on Tier 2 ICT Long Term visa, my child of 3yrs age is my dependent on visa category "PBS Dependent"
valid till June-17-2018

My wife has got Tier 2 general visa now and started work in UK.

I am going to switch as her Dependent then my visa will be "PBS Dependent"

Since the main applicant itself is becoming a Dependent, Does my child need to apply for new visa or he can continue of current visa until its validity ?

You and child should apply together for PBS dependent based on your wifes' Tier 2 General visa.

Can I apply for PBS dependant visa in UK as soon as my wife gets her visa in home country ?
Or should I wait for her to enter UK ?

Your childs visa becomes invalid the minute you switch to dependent visa as your Tier 2 ICT will be cancelled. HO might also hold your application and question why the child is not included in your application as they will see on their system that there is a child as your dependent.

You should apply for both of you at the same time.

If you remain in the UK, you will need to wait for her to return on Tier 2 General before you can apply.

I am planing to go for Same day appointment within UK as soon as my Wife (main applicant) returns to UK

(1) Do I need to wait until she collect her BRP or I can just apply with her stamped visa as that hold valid for 30 days vignette

(2) When I do same day appointment for myself, can I apply for standard appointment for my child who is current my dependent

1. Wait for BRP

2. Are you completely ignoring what I am saying regarding your child and asking the same question until you get the answer you want to hear??

Hello,

Sorry to bother you....I got your point that my child and myself have to apply at same time

But still my open question is:

When our both applications are made at same point, can I do mine as Same day appointment and do Standard appointment for my child ??

If that is not possible, I will get my child's Dependent visa also done at India along with my spouse (main applicant)

please advise this is very critical input for me

What do you mean by 'standard appointment'??

Your child can apply same time as your wife provided the child is in India to apply.

Hi All,

I'm in the same situation. My husband was on T2 ICT long term visa valid till 23 Apr 2019. Me and my son were on dependent visa. I've switched to T2 General visa on 11th march 2019. We've applied T2 General dependent visa for my husband and son on 15 apr 2019. But chose superpriority(1 day decision ) for my husband and standard for my son. My husband got appointment slot on 16th apr 2019 and got the decision as well. But for my son the earliest appointment available is on 3rd May 2019, so booked the slot.
Will this be considered overstaying?
Please help me.
