1. A1 English test or UKVI red route NARICA.

2. VAF4A and Appendix FM/SE for applications from abroad.

Don't forget to pay the Immigration Health Surcharge of £600 PLUS the visa fee of £1464.

Hi CR001,

One quick question. Am afraid that we have submitted the Comparability and English language assessment using blue route. Do you think the application will be rejected based on this?

I haven't seen anything from UKVI saying that these certificates should be from red route. Would you please direct me to any specific guidance? Thanks.

Hi CR001,

Below url has HO response confirming that applying via red or blue route doesn't matter

https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/ ... _red_route

Let me know if this has changed since Nov 2016.

As always, thanks for your time!

I see the guidance has changed (page 35): https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... LL-v19.pdf

I have followed this: https://www.gov.uk/uk-family-visa/knowledge-of-english
and have gone for SOC and ELA.

The guidance is so scattered and it's not making anyone's life easy.

What's options do you think we have? Don't think we can submit any additional documents unless asked by ECO.
