ICT Longterm Valid visa_India returned_Can i apply for ICT(General) without cooling off?

Hello dear experts,
Please be noted that i have a ICT Long term visa for a company 'X' valid till 2019. Returned to India as the project is cancelled.

Now, there is another requirement from a different client from same company. My Company mobility says that i can travel to UK for this project as it is different client, different work location. I have to serve 12 month cooling off period. Is it true?

Can i apply for ICT(General) from the same company and travel to UK 'without serving' cooling off period.

Kindly advise.

Unfortunately you will have to serve cooling off period. Cannot directly change from Tier 2 Long Term to Tier 2 General straight away.

My company has office across UK and is a 'A' rates sponsorer. My company is ready to offer me permanent job as UK employee on Tier-2(general) visa(i mean i have to resign here and will get an offer as UK employee). Am i eligible for this? Do i need to serve any cooling period?

Yes
you need to serve 12 months cooling period outside UK

Cooling period starts either from date of your VISA expiry or from the date of your return from UK (for this you need to show proof - tickets, immigration stamp date, etc.)

For eg. I has Tier 2 ICT and returned from UK on 30 Apr 2017 (my VISA expiry was 18 May 2017), now I am eligible to apply for my Tier2 G on or after 1 May 2018
