Annual leave and out of country time frame.

Post by GMO » Thu Nov 02, 2017 11:58 am

Hi everyone.

In our company we get 20 days annual leave ( excluding bank holiday and weekend) per year. I usually take this 20 days all together and go back home to visit parents.

My qustion is if i take 20 days paid leave and extra 10 days working from home . That means i will be out for the country total 30 working days all together annualy. It will be any issue regarding ILR or i can stay out of the country maximum 20 working days unfer tier 2 visa?

Anyone please help.

Thanks in advance :)

You can be away from the UK for up to 180 days per year, however any absence from the UK must be approved by your employer and mentioned in the letter

There are two different aspects of the letter that are mandatory for ILR.

1. You need letters from employers regarding all absences.

2. You need a letter from your current employer stating all your employment details and that 'you will be required in your job role for the foreseeable future.....'

Hi everyone,

I was just checking my past 5 years out of country/leave time and I found I was out of country on average 30/40 days every year in 2014,2015,2017 and 2018 ( i didn't take any holidays in 2016)

2014: (31 days)
2015: (26 days) and (22 days)

2017: (29 days)
2018: (40 days)

My question is , during this period i worked from home as well few days. So, Do i have to mention that on my absence letter and i will just put the days as holidays.Which would be better? Please suggest.

Kind Regards
