Passport validity

Hi,
I am on a tier 2 visa for the next three years in UK.
I have an Indian passport expiring April 2018.
I am travelling to India day after.
My passport validity is 5 months.
Will there be a problem to leave uk and to return from India ?
Does India have a 6 month validity rule.
It would be difficult for me to renew my passport in India due the new rules and I need to do it here in uk.
My trip duration is only 8 days and have valid passport and resident permit to re enter.
I have tried to search online regarding the rules for UKBA but they only mention about valid passport for duration of stay which does not apply I guess for work visa as there is in most case an expiry of passport before visa.

Please help if any one experienced the same.
