Time spent on FLR(M) for LR

Post by RizKCB » Sat Nov 04, 2017 12:32 pm

I need a quick advice from seniors on the following please:

I got ILR recently on long residence basis. My wife and two sons(Born out of country) joined me as PBS dependent in January 2012. They continued with me through further leave as T1 PBS dependents. Now I got ILR on long residence basis but all my three dependents still have their visas as PBS dependents until January 2019. After that I will apply for them under FLR(M). This way they can complete their own Long Residence requirements I UNDERSTAND before their full 5 years on FLR(M).

The questions are;

Will their partial stay under FLR(M) count in long residence requiment of 10 years?

Is their anything I am not aware of to get ILR for my children under 18 like after 7 years or etc?

Yes.

No. If they have 10 years residence they can apply for ILR.

You should bear in mind that if your dependents remain on PBS dependent visas, it is risky to travel outside the UK.
