Tier 2 General Extension - Urgent

Post by americana » Tue Oct 24, 2017 5:04 pm

Hi
I am about to apply for an extension for my Tie2 General
After contacting my HR for a CoS, I was told that it has bee applied for and should be available soon.

Having seen that my current visa will expire within two month

Can my HR / Company request priority service from Home office as they have applied for it already?

how long does CoS usually takes and is there a way to chase it with Home Office by the company ?

Thanks for you help much appreciated

I believe the CoS extension is a standard online process which would only involve putting in an application and getting the CoS approved straightaway - this is how the process was for me and I had it the next day from my employer. I may be wrong or it might be a different process/take longer for your employer

yes, it is 10 min work and cos code generated straightaway. They fill few details and payment, that's it you get the code, NHS does it.

Looks like your employer has requested the allocation of COS.

If you require it urgently, the employer can write to the businesshelpdesk@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk and it will be issued immediately. I experienced this some time back.

Tier 2 Extension - Cooling Off Period - Urgent

Post by americana » Wed Oct 25, 2017 11:42 am

Hi

My employer have just applied for a CoS and is looking at speeding up the application by changing it to priority.

In case where this does work as my Visa is due to expire in about 1 month and a week.

Can my employer fire me so i can apply again for the role outside of the UK if so will i be affected by the cooling off period ?

If there a way to avoid the cooling off period as I only have few months before i am eligible for a settlement?

Would my cooling off period affect my settlement ?

Thanks for your help in advance

If you leave the UK to apply from abroad, you will be subject to the 12 month cooling off period, counted from the date of departure.

If there a way to avoid the cooling off period as I only have few months before i am eligible for a settlement? No there isn't a way to avoid it.

Would my cooling off period affect my settlement ? Possibly yes at is is a break in your continuous residence.

Thanks for your help in advance

CoS Assignment - Status Work In Progress - URGENT

Post by americana » Wed Nov 08, 2017 1:10 pm

Hi

I am currently about to extend a existing Tier2 but having the following concerns.

1. CoS Allocation is still "Working in Progress" even after paying for a Priority fee
2. Who needs to act upon the status as HR doesn't have much experience on this.
3. Current Visa Expires in a Month, How long does the renewal takes.
4. Is there anything that can be done to speed up things.

Thanks for your time.

Tier 2 General - Extension Maintenance Fee

Post by americana » Fri Nov 10, 2017 1:32 pm

Hi Please i'll like an input on the following.

1. Do I need to show proof of maintenance when submitting an extension application for same employer and job title such as bank statement?
I couldn't find substantial information on this but i've asked my employer to provide a letter to certify my maintenance as they weren't able to see anywhere it was asked when assigning a CoS to me.

2. Will my Payslips suffice if i have to as I might not have a consistent balance for the consecutive 90days.

Thanks for you help in advance.

If it's an extension to your Tier 2(G) application,
1. You do not need to prove you meet the required level of English
2. You do not need to prove maintenance
