FLM(R) first extension after mariage - correspondence

Post by mulac321 » Tue Nov 14, 2017 12:32 am

we are applying for our first extension after marriage for my wife (Filipina). im a British citizen since birth, we are confused about the requirements for correspondence: on the application form check list it states this:

If your application is as the partner of a settled person or person who is in
the UK with refugee leave or humanitarian protection
Six items of correspondence addressed to you and your partner at the same address as
evidence that you have been living together since your last grant of leave in this category, or
from the date you first started living together up to a maximum of two years. See Note 11.

am I correct in thinking this does not apply to us because I am a British citizen? we don't have much correspondence for my wife at all who has been in the uk for just 4 months.
thanks in advance.

Assuming your wife arrived on a Fiance Visa, the cohabitation requirement is not necessary for FLR(M). If you have got some documents though proving cohabitation, submit them.
