Combined income for flrm category B

Post by Baydaar » Wed Nov 15, 2017 6:45 pm

My first spouse visa is expiring on 14th of April 2018.i am non salary worker and my wife is also non salary employee. For last financial year our combine income was 18700 which is above minimum requirement. And for this financial it will be also near 19000£ combine. My wife's work is seasonal she didn't worked from April to July. i am preparing my documents for Category A.but as I am on Zero hour contract some time Agency do not give work so I would like to have a second option in mind. I shall be very grateful to you if some one can explain can we combine our income under category B.thanks

In both categories (category A & B) the average of your/joint income from the last 6 months must meet the annual income threshold £18600. If you are working with same employer from 6 months then if you have earned the required income even variable every month then you can preferably apply under category A non-salaried person route but if you wish can still apply under category B route but it will increase your paper work.
Remember you can cover the shortfall (if any) through your/joint savings.

Thanks dear seagul.so you mean that in either category it should be 9300 in 6 months jointly.even if there is one or two week gap? I think they consider savings more than 16000£ We don't have this much amount so we should go for Category A.

Yes that's correct that you need to have earned at least £9300 during the last 6 months even there is no earning in few weeks/days but still you need the required payslips. In that case you can use variable income as non-salaried person.
