Limited leave to remain

I have 14 days gap due to use of wrong form. in my limited leave to remain now I want to apply for indefinite leave. For my family of 4. £ 9188. Home office said gap is 10 weeks solicitors says it's 14 days. What ever it is will if affect our application.? Do I apply for extension again or idl

You will need to provide a bit more information if you expect any help from strangers on an internet forum.

Visa start and expiry dates?

Date of extension applications?

Why was there a gap of 14 days/10 weeks?

If refusals received, reasons for refusal?

First discresionary leave start November 2011 to 4th november 2014 . 1st of October 2014 I put I wrong form DL form . Application return November 10th November. Correct form with payment sent 17th November 2014.. extension granted 2nd feb 2015 to 2nd feb 2018...my question is can i apply for indefinite leave to remain or another renewal . Considering the gap in the 6 years. Thanks
