Referee for MN1 form

Post by back2uk2 » Thu Nov 16, 2017 1:45 pm

Hello,

I am going to apply for child's registration as a British Citizen.
The main worry is about arranging the 1st Referee, I am thinking of approaching GP/Dentist/Teacher or may be all in case I get a decline from any of them.

If someone has got a sample letter which I can use for making the request to them to act as a referee, then please share with me.

Thanks.

There is no such 'sample letter'. Simply ask them directly.

Now that my naturalization is approved, I'm going to apply for my daughter with MN1. Today it was parents evening in her school and I took the opportunity to ask a couple of her teachers. Both agreed and said they've done it before, so no problem.

I think GP or dentist are less likely to agree.

Anyway, remember that for MN1 the referees need not have known the child for 3 years as with AN.
