T2 ICT Dependent Visa to Tier 2 General

Post by ankur131184 » Thu Nov 16, 2017 2:27 pm

Hi,

Myself and my wife both came to UK on 2013 and both of us were holding Tier 2 ICT VISA. Recently on this year June my wife changed her visa and became my Dependent. Now she got an offer where the company is ready to sponsor her Tier 2 General VISA. Does the Cool Off Period apply to her in this case because she was previously holding Tier 2 ICT visa?

Regards.

She can only apply for Tier 2 General once she has been on a dependent visa for the full 12 months, so yes, cooling off period does apply to her.

Is the Tier 2 General sponsor another employer, ie. not her ICT sponsor?

Also, please do not tag your questions onto other members topics, it is considered rude and creates confusion. I split your post to its own topic.

Thanks for the response.
Could you please help me on the last point once again.
The company who is ready to sponsor her Tier 2 General VISA, is different from the one who did her ICT VISA as well as the dependent VISA.

Is the cooling off still applicable in that case?

Regards.

Yes, the cooling off period still applies. She can only apply for Tier 2 General from home country after being on a dependent visa for the full 12 months.
