Returning T2 Dependent BRP Card

Hellos,

I have had T2 Dependent VISA on which I also received the BRP card 2 years back. Now I got General T2 Visa as a main applicant and also received new BRP card.

My wife (who was main applicant previously) received a letter to submit BRP card, when she has never received any BRP (her visa was 2 year long). And nothing was written about my BRP card in that letter.

So the question is- Should I need to submit my BRP?

Actually I do not receive any instruction about it.

Please guide!

If you have not been asked to submit your BRP card, why do you want to submit it?

Has she applied for a Tier 2 dependent visa and waiting for outcome?

Are you sure the letter is not asking her to enroll her biometrics at the Post Office?

My wife has received the tier 2 dependent visa two weeks ago and also got the BRP card.

Previously she had tier 2 visa and I was dependent on her. But since she couldn't continue her job with her employee, they (UK V&I) curtailed her visa (and effectively mine too) 6 months before its expiry. In this "Curtailment letter" itself they mentioned to submit the BRP Card. But she didn't have any BRP card last time as her General-Tier 2 VISA was for 3 years itself. But I had the BRP for my dependent VISA.

SO I am not sure are they asking my BRP card to submit or else?

And I want to submit the old BRP card, cause I have read that if someone fail to do so they might get £1000 fine.

Please advice!

Send it then if you wish. It is not valid anyway if you have another visa now.

That is for ILR BRP cards once a person becomes British.
