UKF Question

Post by Simonator » Thu Nov 23, 2017 11:36 pm

Hi,

I am a 25 year old born to a Chinese father who became British by registration (otherwise than by descent), my mother is Lebanese. They were not married at my time of birth, but married a few months later.

Will this application be fairly simple to process? And how long does it take roughly to process? And what are the overall costs involved once accepted?

I am also thinking of coming to the UK on a Holiday Visa, can I apply through the UKF route whilst in the UK?

Thank you :)

My understanding is that if your father was British before you were born and subsequently married your mother you are British by descent and can apply for a passport directly.
