ILR Long Residence (10 years)

Post by SarahS87 » Sat Nov 25, 2017 12:22 pm

Hi all,

I am planning to apply for ILR using the LR route. I have been in the UK since 2003 with students visa. In 2013 I got married to EEA nationals so now using EEA2 expires in July 2018. With the current Brexit uncertainty, i would like to apply for ILR via LR route, which will not involve my EEA partner (my student visas range from Sept 2003 to January 2015).

My problem is I do not have all the travel documents. Back in those time, my country airline did not have e-tickets. I however have stamps on my passports (I have all my passports). My country stamps my passport for both entry and exit, while the UK only stamp for entry. One of the stamp when entering UK in 2008 is not very clearly seen, but you can make out the dates by squinting (!?). May I ask if anyone succeed in getting the IRL with only stamps in the passports.

Thank you very much for all your help.

You will need to provide extensive documentation from your EU sponsor to prove they are/were a qualifying person exercising treaty rights for the whole time you are relying on the time spent as EEA partner.

Does the Set(LR) form ask for this?? No it does not.

Have you read the form at all? It clearly asks for passport covering the whole period to prove your residence.
