Tier 2 dependent to Tier 2 General- Queries

Post by asarliay » Mon Nov 27, 2017 10:40 am

Hi Admin/Gurus,

I am on Tier 2 general and my spouse and child are my dependants.

My husband is planning to ask his organisation on getting a new sponsorship for him (Tier 2 General). Understand that he needs to stay in his home country to get the visa generated.

Queries
1) Is it possible to get a visa for him that way? I mean, will that be a problem for RLMT as he is already working with them? (He did went through a rigorous interview process to get that job and he is working with them for more than a year now).
2) If they agree to it and does the RLMT successfully and generates the COS, how long does he needs to stay in home country. I remember there was no single day processing (Super priority Visa) 3 years ago. However I see same day processing is available for Tier 2 General as per the VFS website. Reference Link: https://www.vfsglobal.co.uk/india/book_appointment.html.
But I am not sure whether we can trust it and go ahead with the processing as I do not see anyone in the forum who had done a super priority processing.

Could you kindly help.

Thanks & Regards

A third query is, in case of any unfortunate document issue if his T2G is not approved, will they cancel his existing T2G dependent Visa?

No they won't.

He only needs to be in home country to apply and wait for the visa.

If the RLMT process is 100% accurate and met and he has not been 'pre-selected', then he should not have an issue. HO can and often do ask the sponsor for full details of other applicants and why they were not suitable.

What is the SOC/job your husband does?

Does he meet the minimum income threshold for Tier 2?
Char (CR001 not Casa)

hi CR001,

Thank you for the response!

His job code must be 2139 and he is definitely getting more than the minimum salary requirements( which is 35-42K£ per annum I believe). His skillset is comparatively rare and hence I am hoping the company would not fail with the questions asked.
I still did not understand about the time he needs to spend abroad.
1) Can he fill the application online, take appointment from here and then travel to home for the interview/submission? Or he needs to do all of these from home country and stay there for 3 weeks?
2) Also is Super priority Visa an option for us? (In that case we can complete the entire process in less than a week)
I feel a bit stupid to ask the next query:
3) Do they look at his last entry date and tally it against the dates he submitted the online form and reject it or so as he was not 'in-country 'during application ?

Thanks & Regards,
