I'm new to the Forum, Please help by giving details to bring child under 18 years as dependent. As one of the parent is UK Citizen. I think already many people asked same question(Am not able to trace them...sorry)
Please send me the forum link so,that I can check like .....below details,
1)Financial Requirements from Parents
2)child age (below 18 years - OK), If above 18 years of age is he eligible as dependent or Not ?? If to become eligible what are the conditions need to Fulfill to get VISA.
3)Please can any one tell me the Correct Application Form with Guide-lance.
Thanks in Advance to All

What is the immigration status of the other non British parent?
How old is the child? Saying 'under 18' is very vague.
Once the child turns 18, you won't be able to bring them to the UK as a dependent.

Why have you waited so long to bring your family over (assuming it is your child not a step child from a second marriage)?
You really are cutting it fine as applications from India are currently taking many months.
Wife will need to meet the English requirement. You will have to meet the £22,400pa financial requirement and adequate accommodation.
Spouse and child settlement visa VAF4A and Appendix FM/SE.
5 year route to ILR.

Dear,
Thank you very much.
I have no proper job.
Can bring only my son now because he is going to be ineligible after six months as he is going to turn over 18 years of age ??
As my wife is not much English knowledgeable lady. Let her take her own time in passing Exam.
By the way What Exam she should pass ?? Is Life in UK or B1 CEFR ?
If Child over 18 years is there any option to bring over here(UK) ?
Thanks,
VK

If you do not meet the financial requirement, the visa will be refused. For child only, minimum of £18,600pa financial requirement with minimum of 6 months evidence (payslips and bank statements).

You can try, not sure though.

A1 level. LIUK is ONLY for ILR.

Student visa or any other visa they qualify for in their own right.
Thanks,

The 18,600 requirement does not apply if OP is seeking to bring son alone.
The case will be dealt with under 297, and the child may qualify for settlement and indefinite leave to enter if the requirement for sole responsibility is met.

Missed that
Would this apply even the the child is so close to 18 years of age and living with mother in India, especially given the long delays for settlement visas from India at present?

The minimum requirement under the children route is only applicable in circumstance where one of the parent is residing in the UK under the partner route or under the parent route and the child is moving to the UK to join them.

Dear All,
Please help me.....
As am processing dependent visa to my family(wife and child(under 18 years category)). As all you aware that minimum salary criteria should meet for this and is going as per requirement. There is issue related to Payslips is concern......
1)The salary for every month was correct 1900 pounds per month as net pay for period Dec,Jan,Feb and March......but from month April and May the net salary was 1600 as net salary. But by mistake the employer credited salary as 1900 pounds for month April and may for this financial year too !! but the payslip shows as 1600 for April and may but in bank statement showing showing as 1900 pounds, will that be problem while applying Visa ??
2) Will home office question why payslips show different amount compare to bank statement ?? how to correct it ??
Please can anybody through some idea or light on it to clear issue ??
Thanks in advance...

Hi All,
As part of Dependent visa process for my wife and child after nearly 40 days of Bio when I contacted help center (Paid Service) they updated me saying that the case is closed and you will receive the passport in a week time. I requested what is the result is it positive or negative they told me that we do not know once u receive passports for wife and child will come to know......I told them that IHS fees is the mandatory fee to be paid as part of Visa process then they asked me you should receive an email why ur not received email about the status of passport. And the lady asked me "have got any call from case worker"....I said yes asking few details like marriage and employer to work ,salary...address.....other bits an pieces and answered all of them. After this next day i got email requesting to update all details of my son like passport number, aws number, application number, date of birth and when go to Bio....and other details as well.
why they are asking all above details when they said initially the case is closed ??
I am confused is visa approved or rejected ? plz can any one through some info ?
Thanks in Advance
Regards,
VKA

No one can tell you if it is approved or not. You will have to wait till you get the passports or any correspondence.
