Tax credits overpayment

I am a British citizen and so r my kids, my husband was granted Discretionary Leave in 2012 and now due to apply for ILR.
However I claim tax credits which was overpaid and now paying back via debt management company. Will this have a negayimpact on the application?

Is the tax credits claimed in JOINT names with your spouse??
