EUFam travel to Spain: visa required?

Post by travelling-show » Tue Dec 05, 2017 2:31 pm

Hi,

Does anyone have experience of travelling to Spain with an Irish EUFam card without a Spanish/Shengen visa?

Detail:
union citizen and family member will be travelling together
family member has a non-eu, visa-required passport

Many thanks

P.S.
I found this very helpful ireland/4eufam-and-eu-wide-travel-the-c ... 30020.html but I think it is quite dated now

This http://www.spain.info/en_IE/informacion ... equisitos/ suggests that a visa is required, but it seems very high level in how it is written

If EU Citizen is travelling with the Non-EU Citizen in possession of EUFAM Visa then they can travel freely within the EU Economic area
