Does anyone know how to check visa status within UK?

No there is not. A reminder that the link was a Beta/Trial service, not 'live' and not accurate either.

Yes the previous link did not seem live but some people updated timeline saying-DECIDED Online.

I also found in the tier2 timeline that someones visa was approved within 5 weeks of application only very recently.

That keeps me worried--whether there is any negative significance if I dont hear anything within 8 weeks(mine is 7 weeks now).
