I submitted my naturalisation application using form AN through NCS on 7th July, and the application was received by HO on 10th July. Like many others, it's been more than 5 months and there has been no sign of decision having been made.
I'm holding British National Overseas passport, which is expiring early Feb 2018. I'm also due to travel back to Hong Kong in Feb.
With how slowly things have been progressing, it's high chance that I won't be receiving my new BC passport in time for my travel. It means that I'll have to spend another £80ish renewing my current BNO passport in the meantime.
Question: May I ask whether I need to inform HO or HMPO if I've renewed my current passport as I'm still awaiting the decision on my citizenship?
