Hi Everyone - Need advice please!
I am currently on a Tier 2 General visa. The current CoS is issued till 07th Jan 2018 and the T2 visa expires on 21st January 2018. (which is 14 days after my current CoS expiry).
I am working for the same organisation and going to extend my T2 G visa again.
My questions are:
1) Do I need to extend my T2 G visa before the expiry of my current CoS (07/01/2018)? Of-course I will apply before the expiry of my visa (21/01/2018).
2) If I apply after the expiry of my current CoS, will it break the continuity of my T2 leave or will it affect my future applications in any way?
3) Should the start date of new CoS be after the expiry of current leave (21/01/2017).
According to Tier 2 policy guideline (https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... 5-2017.pdf)
“38.23 “When you assign a CoS to extend a migrant’s leave in the same tier and category, the start date on the CoS should be the day after their current leave expires.”
”
Note: If I apply to extend my visa on 20/01/2017 (1 day before my visa expiry) it will help me to complete 5 years. Otherwise I need to extend my visa again to complete 5 years on T2.
Your help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
